Fifth Annual Downtown Willoughby 5k

Sunday, September 17, 2017

4051 Erie St Willoughby, OH

5k (3.1 miles) Course Map - New Route in 2017

The Downtown Willoughby 5k starts and finishes on Erie Street in beautiful Downtown Willoughby. The Willoughby police department will escort the race and shut down all streets to keep you safe. You can rest well knowing that you just need to run fast and not run from cars.

The starting line will be on Erie Street, between Oliver Twist and Pranzo. The course is fairly flat with the first 1.5 mile of the race being an 80 ft elevation increase down scenic River Rd, followed by the same decrease over the remainder of the race. A water stop will be available near the halfway point of the race, at Hastings and Glenwood. To finish, you'll head back up River, the same street you started the race on.  Work that smile for your supporters as you head past Wes Point Park and finish on Erie Street in Downtown Willoughby. Job well done.

To keep everyone safe, the Willoughby Police Department and the City of Willoughby will be temporarily closing the streets highlighted on the map below on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from approximately 9:45am - 11:15am. Thanks for your patience.

Sometimes It's Easier To Just Watch

Maybe you have a family member in the race or maybe you just don't run unless something or someone is chasing you. Those running will appreciate your support and cheers either way. Show your support from anywhere along the race course or welcome runners to the finish line in Downtown Willoughby.

Downtown Willoughby 5k MegaphonesKids supporting their friends and family members in Downtown Willoughby will also get a free Downtown Willoughby 5k megaphone, a marker, and poster board to create a sign to welcome their runners to the finish line. Watch for balloon animal artists walking around as well!
